The Public Utilities Commission has said that relief has been given to the people in getting a new electricity connection and restoring disconnected electricity connections.
Director General Damitha Kumarasinghe said that the Public Utilities Commission decided to reduce the previously charged fee of Rs. 3,000 to Rs. 800 for restoring power after a disconnection.
Also, the director general says that he has been given the opportunity to pay the unpayable amount in installments during the restoration of electricity connection.
