According to the Merchant Marine Secretariat of Germany, a detailed report will be received next week regarding the Sri Lankan who went missing while working on the German-owned MV Sanchuka ship.
A senior official said that an initial report has been received in this regard.
Meanwhile, the National Merchant Seamen’s Association says that international assistance will be sought to find the missing Sri Lankan youth.
Its chairman Mr. Palitha Athukorala said that the assistance of the International Transporters’ Federation has also been requested to find the concerned youth.
21-year-old man named Chirath Sandaru has gone missing while serving on the MV Sanchuka ship.
The concerned young man is a resident of Millaniya, Uduwara area and is a former student of Mahanama Vidyalaya, Colombo.
He went to work on the MV Sanchuka ship on the 2nd of last month.
