The National Resource Protection Movement (NRPM) has decided to hold a protest in Colombo tomorrow (February 21) against the government’s plan to privatize several government institutions.
The movement said in a statement that it will hold a joint protest tomorrow at 12 noon at Fort Lakehouse Roundabout.
“We stand united against the government’s short-sighted plan to privatize electricity, telecom, insurance, post offices, railways, banks, airports and many other important public institutions. The movement further emphasizes that the unprecedented sale of national resources is a direct threat to national security, economic stability and the livelihood of Sri Lankans.
