The injunction order issued by the Colombo District Court has been further extended by suspending the 12-hour work-to-rule trade union action that was to be started by the Port Trade Unions.
That is until the 23rd.
This industrial action was organized by the Port Trade Unions demanding an increase in their wages.
Colombo Additional District Judge Mrs. Chamari Weerasooriya has given this order today after considering the submissions made by the defense counsel and pointing out that steps should be taken to file objections demanding the cancellation of the relevant injunction order.
