The special commodity levy imposed on a kilo of imported rice has been reduced to Rs. 1.
The previous special commodity levy for a kilo of imported rice was 65 rupees.
The Ministry of Finance has issued an extraordinary gazette notification in this regard.
It states that the relevant decision will be effective from January 2nd to the upcoming 21st.
