According to meteorologists, Colombo Fort area received the highest amount of rain on the 29th from the scattered rains across the country.
More than 135 mm of rain has fallen in Colombo Fort.

The Department of Meteorology said that it is expected that the current rain situation will continue in the southwestern part of the island.
Western, Sabaragamuwa, South and North-West provinces and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts will experience occasional rain or thundershowers.
In Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts, heavy rains of about 75mm can also be expected.
Anuradhapura district receives little rain.
Strong winds of around (40-50)kmph may occur in the North, North-Central and North-West provinces, Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
A few places in Badulla, Ampara and Batticaloa districts may experience rain or thundershowers during evening or night.
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the danger caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
