The Paddy Marketing Board says that the purchase of paddy in this year’s season will be temporarily suspended from today (30).
Mr. Buddhika Iddamalgoda, its president, said that even if warehouses are opened for purchasing paddy, not a single warehouse receives paddy.
Accordingly, steps have been taken to close those warehouses.
