Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Mr. Gunadasa Samarasinghe said that it is expected to provide 20,000 rupees for one hectare to buy fertilizer in the monsoon season.
He said that the farmers had requested to increase the current amount of 15,000 to 20,000 rupees per hectare.
Accordingly, the secretary mentioned that farmers can be given money and buy fertilizers from the private sector.
