Anunahimi of Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya, Director of Minuwangoda Patthaduvana Bhikkhu Training Center, former adviser to the Ministry of Education, Nadagamuwe Vijaya Maitri Thero has passed away early today (24).
He was 73 years old when he passed away.
He also held the title of Deputy General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Ramanya Maha Nikaya, held a number of positions in the Sambuddha Jayanthi Committee as well as many other committees, and was engaged in a tremendous mission for the Buddhist culture.
He became a monk in 1963 and is a distinguished religious speaker.
Nadagamuwe Vijaya Maithri Anunahimi is known as a pioneer who worked to shine in the Ramanya Maha Nikaya by engaging in foreign missionary services.
