A bus carrying a group of students from Upper Kadigamuwa Saranapala Dhamma School in Kuliyapitiya, who had come to Galle for an educational trip, was on its way to Rumassala mountain, and a student on the bus had hit his head on a lamp post while putting his head out of the window.
This unfortunate accident happened yesterday evening.
A student named Prabhath Attanayake (16) has died. This student resided in Hinna Pannawa Colony, Kadigamuwa, Kuliyapitiya.
It was found during the investigation that this student, who was sitting in the back seat of the bus, put his head out of the window at once. The Habaraduwa police say that the student’s head hit the lamp post instantly.
The driver of the bus has been arrested in connection with the accident.
That accident coincided at the behest of the students impulsive carelessness during the trip…..resulting in his tragic death.
