The airport police have received a complaint that the gold necklace from the shoulder of a soldier working at the air force base at Katunayake airport has been stolen.
The police say that while the soldiers were sleeping in the barracks, someone stole his gold necklace.
The soldiers have told the police that this gold necklace is worth more than two and a half lakhs. He is a resident of Pannipitiya.
