The Boralasgamuwa Police have received a complaint that the copper strips of the lightning conductors installed in 10 buildings of the Kotalawala Defense University in Werahera have been stolen.
This complaint was submitted yesterday by a lieutenant colonel who is in charge of security at the hospital.
According to the complaint, the value of the stolen copper plates is over 65 lakh rupees.
The theft is suspected to have taken place between January 30 and July 3.
The police suspect that the theft was done by a drug addict.
This hospital is a military guarded place.
