The government collects information on assets under religious places

Government decides to get information about assets under religious places.

Buddha Sasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Minister Vidura Wickramanayake says that the measures are being taken due to the fact that the assets under the religious places have not been recorded so far.

Along with the registration of religious places, the collection of related information has also been started.

The government also expects to prepare criteria for the number of temples a Grama Niladhari domain can have in the future.
