According to the Department of Meteorology, an increase in rainfall is expected in the southwestern part of the island.
Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts will experience heavy rains or thundershowers from time to time.
In some places in the above mentioned areas it may exceed 100 mm.
