Public health inspectors have conducted an emergency inspection of a hotel where Hunnasgiriya long-distance service buses stop.
Theldeniya Magistrate has imposed a fine of Rs 33,000/= against the owner of the hotel, which was run in an unsanitary manner.
About 30,000 food stocks were destroyed.
Theldeniya Magistrate has further informed the hotel owner to resolve all the issues and report the facts to the court on a future date.
Hunnasgiriya Public Health Inspector Santhusha Bandara, Udadumbara Public Health Inspector Indika Ratnayake and Madugalla Public Health Inspector Tharanga Bandara have conducted this emergency inspection.
