A drone attack from Ukraine on Putin’s official residence

The Russian government has accused Ukraine of using drones to assassinate Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The Russian government mentions that a drone attack was launched targeting President Putin’s residence in the Kremlin in central Moscow, Russia.

Accordingly, Russian President’s Office announced that the Russian security forces have managed to shoot down two drones that came to attack in this way. President Putin’s spokesman said that the Russian leader was not at the complex at the time of the attack.

Meanwhile, unedited footage circulating on social media showed an object flying over the Kremlin before a small explosion.

Accordingly, in this regard, Ukraine stated that its government is not involved in such drone attacks in any way.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s spokesman said that Ukraine was only focused on liberating its own territory after Russia invaded their country last year.
One video circulating on social media showed smoke rising above the fortress complex, and another showed a small explosion above the Kremlin Senate building.

In a statement, the Russian presidential office said: “Last night, the Kiev regime attempted to launch an attack on the Kremlin residence of the President of the Russian Federation with unmanned aerial vehicles.”

It said they considered it a “premeditated act of terrorism and an attempt to assassinate the president” and that Russia “reserves the right to take retaliatory measures wherever and whenever it deems necessary”.

Parts of the drones fell near the Kremlin, but no one was hurt and no buildings were damaged, the President’s Office said.
