Power and Energy Minister Mr. Kanchana Wijesekera says that the power outage that occurred in several areas of Colombo has now been restored.
Minister Wijesekera mentioned that electricity supply to Colombo 04, 05 and 07 has been restored.
The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) had informed about an emergency power outage in several areas of Colombo 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12 and suburbs today due to a cable explosion and breakdown at Kolonnawa 132 KV substation.
