It is reported that the Ministry of Power and Energy has decided to implement the fuel quota increased for Awurudu during this week as well.
Although it was initially planned to revise the recently imposed fuel quota under the QR code system today (18), the government has not decided to revise the increased fuel quota.
Minister of State for Power and Energy Mr. DV Chanaka has said that the revised fuel quota will be implemented this week as well.
Accordingly, the quota for
Three-wheels – from 5 liters to 8 liters,
Motorcycles – from 4 liters to 7 liters,
Buses – from 40 liters to 60 liters
Cars – from 20 liters to 30 liters, were revised on April 04 for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The Ministry has decided to maintain the increased quota as it is for the following,
Land vehicles – from 15 liters to 25 liters,
Lorries – from 50 liters to 75 liters,
Special purpose vehicles – from 20 liters to 30 liters,
Vans – from 20 liters to 30 liters.
