Member of Parliament Patali Champika Ranawaka says that steps will be taken to form a new political party next month.
It is in the name of the ‘Eksath Janaraja Peramuna’.
He also claims that this is a political movement based on merits.
The MP points out that the purpose of this is to rescue the country from bankruptcy and put an end to family-based politics.
He said that he hopes to “Change the bribe-based politics of Sri Lanka” by establishing a new political party.
According to this, the MP also claims that the new political party will fulfill the need for a political ideology to move the country forward on a new pragmatism instead of outdated socialism and capitalism.
