Sri Lanka Transport Board says that steps have been taken to recruit 275 conductors and 800 drivers.
Its chairman, Mr. Lalith De Alwis, said that the relevant recruitments will be done promptly.
The number of driver vacancies available in Sri Lanka Transport Board is 1,035.
Besides, there is a shortage of 450 conductors, Mr. Lalith de Alwis said.
