The president of the All Ceylon Threewheelers Drivers and Owners Association says that steps will be taken from midnight today (29) to reduce the Threewheeler fee by Rs. 20 per kilometer.
Mr. Sudil Jayaruk, the president of the union, said that this decision was taken in response to the reduction in fuel prices by the government.
He also said that the three-wheeler drivers are advised to immediately make the changes related to running the second kilometer and onwards for Rs. 80 per kilometer.
Mr. Sudhil Jayaruk further stated that the government should immediately start a program to regulate the three-wheelers that charge arbitrary tolls.
