The Borella Police has arrested Mr. Kushan Subhasinghe, the Borella Constituency Manager of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya, in connection with an assault.
The police say that he is also a candidate for the Colombo Municipal Council in the local government elections.
He was released on a surety of Rs. 500,000 after being produced before the Colombo Aluthkade Magistrate Court.
