The Water Supply and Drainage Board informs that the water supply will be suspended for a period of 10 hours from 11 am to 9 pm the day after tomorrow (25th) in Colombo and several suburbs.
The reason for this is the suspension of electricity supply to the Ambatale Thuluma Pumping Station due to an essential renovation work being carried out by the Electricity Board.
The areas where water supply will be suspended are Colombo, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Kotte, Kaduwela Municipal Council areas, Maharagama, Boralasgamuwa, Kolonnawa Urban Council areas, Kotikawatta, Mulleriya Regional Council areas, Ratmalana and Katubedda.
The Board expresses its regret for the inconvenience caused to the water consumers due to the suspension of this water supply and kindly requests them to collect the necessary water in advance.
