According to Kiribathgoda Police, a group of students assaulted another student over a dispute over the appointment of officers to the student unions of Kelaniya University.
In this regard, a third-year student of Kelaniya University’s Faculty of Technology has filed a complaint with the Kiribathgoda Police.
The student said that he was assaulted by three third-year students of the art department of the university and an outsider on the last 18th during the appointment of the officers to the student unions.
The Kiribathgoda Police say that the investigation into this attack has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department.
