The Galle Divisional Crime Investigation Unit has commenced a special investigation into the theft of a sinopharm vaccine from yesterday (16).
Police Media Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the investigation has been initiated following a complaint lodged to the Habaraduwa Police by the Galle Habaraduwa Medical Officer of Health.
Police say that 30 doses of vaccines worth around Rs. 90,000 have been stolen and that a driver and a minor employee attached to the Medical Officer of Health are under suspicion.
