Doctors from 5 other provinces have joined the strike.
The Government Medical Officers’ Association says that this strike will be in effect for 24 hours from 8.00 am today (14) to 8.00 am tomorrow (15) in all hospitals located in North West, North Central, North, Uva and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
The strike was carried out yesterday in all hospitals in the Western, Central, Southern and Eastern provinces.
Hospitals in those provinces are operating as normal today.
