Teachers have decided to launch a professional action against the government from March 15, said Mr. Joseph Stalin, Secretary of the Ceylon Teachers Union.
All trade unions had previously decided to go on a one-day strike on the 15th.
The strike is against a number of issues, such as the government’s tax policy, increase in electricity bills, rise in the cost of living, postponing the election, etc.
