Employees in many fields, including electricity, fuel, and port, are engaged in a trade union action of not coming to work on sick leave the day after tomorrow (01).
Workers of more than 40 trade unions in Sri Lanka will join this professional action demanding the withdrawal of the government’s unfair tax policy, union leaders say.
They also mention that several trade unions, including the Government Medical Officers Association, the Government Dental Officers Association, and the Union of Central Bank of Sri Lanka, support the massive strike.
