The exam department states that the evaluation of the answer sheets of the GCE advanced level examination was scheduled to begin today (22), but it will be delayed for a few more days.
Examination Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara says that this situation is aggravated due to the fact that less number of teachers have submitted applications for evaluating answer sheets.
Despite this situation, he said that the answer sheets will be checked, and the exam results will be released before the end of June.
