This (19) evening, after a search by the police, army and forest conservation officers, 31 youths who were stranded since yesterday (18) after climbing the Garadigala mountain in Knuckles Reserve were successfully rescued.
The group of young people got lost in the reserve due to heavy rain and fog.
According to information received by the Ududumbara Police, a joint operation to rescue them has been launched.
After a 24-hour operation, this group was rescued this evening and they are residents of Homagama, Kandy, Colombo, Galle.
