The Freedom People’s Alliance has requested the Prime Minister to convene the Parliament immediately.
It was to discuss the decision to postpone postal voting in the upcoming local government elections due to the non-provision of funds.
In a letter, the Freedom People’s Alliance has emphasized to the Prime Minister that postponing the elections due to lack of money is detrimental to the country’s democracy as well as internationally.
As it is the responsibility of Parliament as the legislature to take the necessary steps to manage this situation, the alliance requests that Parliament be convened immediately.
Currently, the Parliament is scheduled to be reconvened on the 21st.
