China, India, Saudi Arabia and a group of G7 officials will participate in the first virtual roundtable on new sovereign debt next Friday, the International Monetary Fund said.
Sri Lanka is also going to participate in it.
The 3 parties had earlier confirmed that the roundtable would include middle-income countries like Sri Lanka, Suriname and Ecuador, as well as Ethiopia, Zambia and Ghana, which have requested debt relief under the G20 common framework.
The meeting will be co-chaired by the IMF, the World Bank and India, the current leader of the Group of 20.
The discussion will also take place a week before G20 finance officials meet in Bengaluru, India from February 23-25.
It is said that Brazil, which will lead the G20 group next year, will also participate in the discussion.
The G7 is a group of seven of the world’s advanced economies, including Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States, as well as the European Union.
