Dr. Padma Gunasekara, President of the Sri Lanka Medical Association, said that it is essential to go to the hospital immediately and seek medical treatment and advice if you have respiratory problems or have symptoms of corona.
Ms. Padma Gunaratne said that the chances of unfortunate deaths could be reduced by going to a hospital in advance and seeking medical help as soon as suspicious symptoms appear.
The doctor said that the number of deaths due to corona infection at home and deaths after last minute hospitalizations was increasing and that early hospitalization could reduce such incidents.
Ms. Padma Gunaratne said that there is a huge role to be played in saving the lives of a corona patients after they are admitted to the hospital and that their lives can be saved if the supply of medicines, oxygen and medical supervision are done properly.
