The Criminal Investigation Department has arrested a clerk who was working in the Attorney General’s Department for illegally obtaining a lot of confidential information, including sensitive information, from the data system of that Department.
The suspect is a 36-year-old resident of Sayakkaramulla, Dunagaha.
The Criminal Investigation Department states that the complaint has been received from the Attorney General’s Department.
Information from the Criminal Investigation Department stated that an investigation is currently underway as to why the confidential information was stolen.
