Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said that development officers will be assigned to schools as teachers from next term.
The Minister of Education also said that the teachers will be selected through an examination conducted by the examination department and initially appointed as teachers at the probationary level, and after obtaining the diploma, they will be added to the permanent service.
The Education Minister also said that the examination results conducted by the examination department will be given at the provincial level.
Mr. Susil Premajayantha said that the authorities have the ability to recruit graduate teachers for teacher vacancies at the provincial level.
