The Monaragala Police has arrested a police officer who allegedly assaulted and threatened to kill a female police constable who said to be his wife working at the Monaragala Divisional Crime Scene Investigation Laboratory.
A police constable attached to the Trincomalee police station has been arrested in this regard.
The police officer has been arrested according to a complaint made by the female police officer to the Monaragala Police yesterday (17) that her husband, the police officer, was brutally assaulting her and threatening to kill her.
This officer has been remanded until the 22nd after being presented to the Monaragala Magistrate’s Court yesterday.
