The brother of the drug dealer Wele Suda, who was sentenced to death for drug trafficking and is being held in Bussa prison, was arrested yesterday by the officers of the Mount Lavinia Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau along with a gauge 12 type firearm.
The police say that several drug cases against Sunil Kumara alias Thaju are also pending in the court. The investigation has revealed that he is currently out on warrant for 02 cases of the Police Narcotics Bureau.
The police suspect that he may have kept this firearm with him with the intention of committing a crime.
