Sources in the health department say that another person who came from Dubai has contracted monkeypox.
Those sources also say that he had come to Sri Lanka after working in Dubai and became an associate of the previous monkeypox patient. Due to the complications that followed, it was confirmed that he contracted monkeypox when he went to the IDH Hospital for treatment.
It has been confirmed that the person has monkey fever during the examination of the samples carried out by the Colombo Medical Research Institute.
The patient is currently receiving treatment at Angoda IDH Hospital.
