The Ministry of Electricity and Energy says that an investigation has been started regarding filling stations that have not released fuel to consumers in recent days.
The Ministry also says that the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has been informed to take action against filling stations that do not sell fuel in this way.
Some filling stations have stopped selling fuel in recent days.
As a result, customers were seen waiting in queues near petrol stations.
