The Criminal Investigation Department has today (07) interrogated Ms. Sangeetha Weeraratne, a veteran and popular actress, for about 05 hours in connection with the investigations regarding the large-scale financial frauds committed by Thilini Priyamali.
Information from the Criminal Investigation Department revealed that Thilini was interrogated with special attention regarding her relationship with Priyamali as well as the transactions made with her.
Last week, the Criminal Investigation Department interrogated and recorded a statement from Ms. Semini Iddamalgoda, who was an expert and popular actress, for having close relations with Thilini Priyamali.
According to information from the Criminal Investigation Department, several other veteran and novice actors are to be questioned in connection with the investigation regarding Thilini Priyamali.
