Chinese President Xi Jinping meets German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
The meeting was held today (04) in the morning at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Mr. Olaf Scholz is the first European leader to visit China for an official visit after holding the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party.
Mr. Xi Jinping expressed his belief that the German Chancellor’s first visit to China will strengthen mutual understanding and trust as well as cooperation in various fields between the two countries.
Sino-German diplomatic relations will be half a century old this year. The Chinese President emphasized the need for China and Germany to cooperate more for world peace and development as 2 countries that can have some influence on the world in a complex and conflicting background.
