Twenty-three institutions that were under the Ministry of Industry have been transferred to the State Ministry of Primary Industries and the State Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development.
According to this, Minister of Industry Ramesh Pathirana has issued a special gazette notice handing over 12 institutions to the State Ministry of Primary Industries belonging to Mr. Chamara Sampath Dasanayake and 11 institutions to Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera in charge of the State Ministry of Small and Medium Scale Enterprise Development.
Lanka Leyland Limited, Lanka Ashok Leyland, Kahagolla Engineering Services Company, Kahatagaha Graphic Lanka Limited have been assigned under the State Ministry of Primary Industries.
Eleven institutions including the National Enterprise Development Authority, the Small and Medium Enterprise Capital Company, the National Craft Council and the Department of Textile Industry have been assigned under the Ministry of State under Mr. Prasanna Ranaweera.
