President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to deliver the opening speech (budget speech) of the second reading of the Appropriation Bill to Parliament today (30) afternoon as the Finance Minister.
Parliament is scheduled to meet today (30) at 1.00 pm under the chairmanship of Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The Budget Appropriation Amendment Bill was presented to Parliament by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena recently.
Meanwhile, a special program will be held today (30) from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm in Parliament to inform the members of the party and opposition about the current economic situation under the chairmanship of Central Bank Governor (Dr.) Nandalal Weerasinghe.
