Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, says that he will wholeheartedly pledge to appoint Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake as soon as there is a vacancy in the national list of the United People’s Party in the Parliament.
The opposition leader made this statement even before Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake, who will be released today, came out of Welikada prison.
Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition, said that he wishes that today would be the last day that he will see Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake, who is a humanitarian and a representative of the people, in a prison.
That was when he went to Welikada this morning to see Mr. Ranjan Ramanayake.
The opposition leader said that he wishes that after getting full freedom, he will have the strength to carry out the philanthropic populist mission again, and said that he will stand up for him at any moment.
