One person was killed and one person was injured after a T-56 gun was fired by a group coming from a car in the Delduwa area of Ambalangoda.
The shooting took place around 8.30 pm yesterday.
Last June 26, a person named Wasantha Zoysa was killed while returning home from a murder case in Ambalangoda.
As revenge for the murder, Wasantha Zoya’s party shot a group of people who were staying at a funeral home in Ambalangoda the next day. There, one person named Vijith Zoysa and another person who is said to be related to the group that led the killing of Wasantha Zoysa were killed.
Yesterday, the police arrested the shooter from Wasantha Zoysa’s party and another person in connection with the double murder. The police also found the firearm used in the shooting yesterday.
The police say that the son of Wasantha Zoysa’s uncle was shot dead tonight.
