The annual feast of Saint Anna’s Church in Thalawila was held on the 7th in the morning under the leadership of Honorable Valence Mendis, Bishop of Chillaw and Kandy.
More than 03 lakh people from different parts of the island came to participate in this annual festival.
At the end of the festival, the naval personnel conducted a street tour of the historical statue of Saint Anne according to tradition.
Then, the bishop graced the crowd with the statue of Saint Anna, and the feast ended.
