The Attorney General informed the Court of Appeal today to refrain from removing the unauthorized constructions in the Galle Face protest site until the 10th without following the legal provisions.
This was informed by the Additional Solicitor General Mr. Sumathi Dharmawardena, who appeared on behalf of the Attorney General, when a petition filed by a group of protestors demanding that the illegal constructions at the Galle Face protest site be revoked before 5:00 am today.
The Additional Solicitor General Mr. Sumathi Dharmavardhan also mentioned before the court that the Inspector General of Police will be given immediate instructions in this regard.
