Dr. Pathum Karner, who was remanded in custody after being arrested by the police in relation to the protest held at the Polduwa junction on the Parliament entrance road and the attack on two military personnel and the seizure of two T56 weapons, has been released on bail.
That was when he was presented before Colombo Additional Magistrate Mr. Harshana Kekunawala today.
The Magistrate who ordered his release on two personal sureties of 10 lakh rupees each imposed a bail condition to appear before the Colombo Crimes Division on the last Sunday of every month between 9 am and 12 pm.
