The UK has taken steps to add eight countries, including Sri Lanka, to the Red List from the 8th of this month due to the Covid epidemic.
The UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office says people coming to the UK from countries on the list are subject to quarantine laws.
Afghanistan, Bahrain, Costa Rica, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Trinidad and Tobago are on the red list from 4 AM on June 8.
All those allowed to enter the UK from these countries must be quarantined for 10 days at hotels that provide quarantine facilities.
