The Chinese authorities have taken steps to close the city of Wuhan due to the risk of Covid, which is believed to have been the first place where the virus was found in the Corona epidemic that has spread all over the world.
China followed a strict zero-covid policy, but Wuhan, which has a population of nearly one million, has been closed in order to prevent a serious disaster again, according to reports in the country.
It is also stated that this step was taken after 4 infected people were identified and they did not have any symptoms.
According to a government statement, Entertainment venues, bars, cinemas, small clinics, and agricultural produce markets were closed and restaurant banquets and large gatherings, concerts, and conferences were suspended. All places of worship were closed and religious activities were banned. Aid agencies and tourist attractions have stopped operations.
All public transport services, from buses to subway services, were suspended, and residents were asked not to leave the district unless absolutely necessary.
Wuhan was also the first in the world to have a Covid lockdown to control the spread of the disease during the initial stages of the Corona epidemic.
